We are a dog training club for all types of gundogs and have been in operation for 17 years in the North West Kent area (Sevenoaks, Westerham, Bromley and Keston) We train our dogs every Wednesday evening, during the winter at a local Village Hall and the Spring and Summer months at various outdoor venues. In the winter we also meet once a month on Sunday mornings for advanced outdoor training.
Our training is to encourage the gundog's natural abilities to retrieve, to search and find objects in thick undergrowth and long grass, and learn to be well behaved. We try to encourage young people to train with us and learn about their dogs and their needs, and also to understand the working countryside.
During the winter months, we train in a local community hall, and members are encouraged to enter the Kennel Club Good Citizen Award Tests at the Bronze, Silver and Gold Standards. These are tests for dog obedience, the owners knowledge of their dogs and how to care for them. In all we are a happy friendly club, just like our dogs and if you wish to learn more about the club, please contact us by email.
From the Chairman
and committee.
